Sushmita Mukherjee is a senior global expert with more than two decades of experience in gender equality, social norms, and behaviour change communication across South Asia, Africa, and humanitarian settings. She has led large-scale programs on adolescent empowerment, prevention of child marriage, gender-based violence (GBV), sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), women’s economic empowerment, and climate resilience—integrating digital media, community platforms, and robust monitoring frameworks.
Her career spans partnerships with governments, UN agencies, and civil society organizations, and she has authored numerous studies, toolkits, and policy papers that have contributed to global discourse. As an independent consultant, Sushmita brings deep expertise in research, program design, capacity building, and policy advocacy, helping organizations achieve meaningful, gender-transformative impact.
